Ephemere is a unique percussion synthesizer plugin centered around an FM oscillator, enhanced by a multimode filter and two flexible envelope generators. An Ephemere drum kit comprises twelve of these engines, each mapped to a note of the octave.

Random Overload

Add dynamic variation by setting a trigger probability for each sound, generating random velocity amounts with every trigger, and applying optional random offsets to most synthesis parameters, recalculated with each trigger. Explore endless possibilities by selecting a random sound preset, fine-tuning individual sounds with adjustable randomness controls, or unleashing complete chaos by randomizing everything at once—trigger probabilities, synthesis parameters, and sound presets included.

Approachable Drum Synthesis

Craft your sounds with a simple FM oscillator featuring two feedback modes, offering a wide palette of tones, and an AR amplitude envelope with adjustable attack and release curves for snappy percussion. Further shape your tones using a release-only pitch envelope, with adjustable curve and optional looping. Fine-tune your drums with a classic multimode filter modulated by either envelope, and add impact with output distortion for harder-hitting sounds. Optional MIDI velocity tracking ensures even greater expressiveness.

Hands on the Mix

Take immediate control of your output with a straightforward mixer view featuring amplitude, pan, mute, and solo controls, along with quick preset navigation for individual channels. Switch between monophonic and polyphonic modes to let sounds overlap or craft clinically precise breakbeats. Take it further with multi-out capability, allowing you to assign separate audio tracks to each sound in your DAW and expand creative possibilities with external effects.
